I really like the part when John bit his pencil and it turned into chocolate! This chapter was really different than the other chapters in this book. I wonder why Miss. Plimsol’s face turn pale? I liked the part when John are the girl’s coin.  I think John should have gotten in trouble for eating his pencil.  I think the teacher is going to tell the principal what happened and John is going to get in trouble for eating candy in school. I don’t think it is nice that the girls are laughing at John and [...]

I think it was bad that John lied about being aloud to eat candy when he knows he’s not supposed to have candy.I;v lied about some things over my years but never like that. I wonder if johns mom will find out that he lied.        

In chapter 2, I think that John didn’t do the right thing because he knew that he can’t eat chocolate even though he lied. My favorite part was when John found the funny looking coin that had a fat boy on one side. I wonder if the fat boy is John eating SO MUCH CHOCOLATE! [...]
