I think chapter 6 is a great chapter! I liked when John chewed on his glove and it turned into chocolate! Spider Wilson thought John had gone crazy! I didn’t like when John bit Susan’s dollar and he made her cry. I think that John might die of thirst because every time he puts something in his mouth or drinks something it turns to chocolate. I also think that John is going to tell his parents that he bought chocolate and then the next morning when he goes to brush his teeth it won’t taste like chocolate.I remember one time I had so much chocolate and we were in the middle of the road and there wasn’t any food places for the next 13 mile drive!   I felt like I was going to die! The Chocolate Touch is a great book for third graders!

chapter 6 wasn’t good because it wasn’t exsiting and How could somone bite medel and it tastes like chacolete to john but to others it dosn’t look or taste like chacolete to others. It’s just a wierd chapter to me.I think John is going to go back to the store but it won’t be there because it’s a magic store and the coin is magic.

I really like the part when John bit his pencil and it turned into chocolate! This chapter was really different than the other chapters in this book. I wonder why Miss. Plimsol’s face turn pale? I think Miss. Plimsol’s face turned pale because maybe she knows about the chocolate touch or maybe she thinks John is making up fake stories of the chocolate touch.What do you think is going to happen next? 

My favorite part is when Susan stuck out her toung and closed her eyes.My connection to this story was when Susan stuck her toung out at John and I always do that to my brother.I think that in chapter7 is going to be about when John shows Susan that when John touched the jumprope it is going to turn into chocolate.

I liked the part when John are the girl’s coin.  I think John should have gotten in trouble for eating his pencil.  I think the teacher is going to tell the principal what happened and John is going to get in trouble for eating candy in school. I don’t think it is nice that the girls are laughing at John and making fun of him. I think he should tell the teacher.  I like this book because I think it is funny. 

I think it was bad that John lied about being aloud to eat candy when he knows he’s not supposed to have candy.I;v lied about some things over my years but never like that. I wonder if johns mom will find out that he lied.        

In chapter 2, I think that John didn’t do the right thing because he knew that he can’t eat chocolate even though he lied. My favorite part was when John found the funny looking coin that had a fat boy on one side. I wonder if the fat boy is John eating SO MUCH CHOCOLATE! The other side had the letters …J.M. That is so SCARY! Why did John spend it? John should not eat so much candy, am I right?

In chapter two I liked part when  John found the  coin when it said his initials and a picture of a fat boy and how it might be him on the coin. I had a good visualization when it said the sun was sinking low in the sky,but the air was still quite warm. I also had a good visualization of the very old coin on the sidewalk. When it said John blushed that made me think of when I blush. I am predicting that if he eats the chocolate every thing he eats will taste like chocolate.

On chapter 2 my favorite part was….. when John found a lucky coin with J.M on it and a fat person on the other  side.When John picked up the coin, I wondered what he was going to spend it on.I WONDER why John said  I NEVER  tasted anything  like this before.he already tasted chocolate. Do you WONDER that?

About  chapter two.Chapter 2 was my favorite chapter so far.The part that really amazed me was when John found a dully gleaming old coin just laying on the ground.The coin leaded him to a old candy shop that he had never been to.The part I really didn’t understand was how did the man in the candy shop know John’s name?I think the man in the shop must be watching Johns every move since he was a little baby.What do you think is going to happen next?
