I think he felt like he was suprised that Anthony said that.

I think he went into another world because when it said there was darkness that’s what it made me think of.

T/S  Anthony was crying when he was left alone.  When I was little, I sometimes did that, too.  It helps me understand the story because I can share my feelings with him.

T/T  In many books that I read, there are chests that lead to other places.  It helps me understand the story because the chest must be magical, like the ones in the other books.

T/S  When Anthony opened the door to the chest room, he had to find the courage to do so.  Sometimes, that happens to me, too.  It helps me better understand the book because I can relate to his fear.
