The strategy we have been practicing is synthesis, in whch we use all of the reading strategies we have previously learned to figure out the theme, “big idea,” or gist of a reading. I think the theme is Matilda has to kee trying so she can get better and acomplish things in her life.

I think the big Idea of this book is…
” Anything is possible, even if something unbeleivable happens.”
Stratigies I would use to make this big idea is to just look at the details. Matilda can move things with her eyes. And one thing I want to bring up. There is a real life ability that enables children to move things at will. Although not proven, there had been cases reported of PK, the intials of this abitlity. Do you think Matilda could have PK?

i think the theme is “friendship follows through”by the way miss.honey and matilda have a friendship and the two of them are going to make an idea to take down mrs.trunchbull and make the school better and their own lives better

I cant believe that the Trunchbull is Miss Honey’s aunt!!! Wouldn’t the trunchbull make Miss Honey clean the school like the trunchbull is the leader of the school make her clean up like the house!
