Recorders
As part of the district’s music curriculum, third grade students will be learning to play the soprano recorder in music class. The recorder is a wonderful opportunity for your child to experience a wind instrument through “hands on” performance.
The fingerings of the recorder are similar to those of today’s woodwind instruments such as flute, clarinet, and saxophone. We hope this will give students wishing to participate in our instrumental program next year a better idea of what to expect.
