On November 12th, 2009, Congressman Lobiondo visited Roland Rogers and answered 5th Grade students’ questions about being a Congressman and about how bills are passed.
The students also learned that LoBiondo’s role model is President Abraham Lincoln and that he has two dogs. They are Weimaraners named Lola and Luca.
The Behavior Disability classes at Roland Rogers are sponsoring a donation drive for the Atlantic County Humane Society. This project will not only help the Humane Society care for the animals in need but provide a positive focus for the students.
The students in Mrs. Costantino’s and Mrs. Jourdan’s class will be working hard to ensure this project is a huge success. They will be collecting, organizing, and speaking on behalf of the ACHS. We are asking for your help in bringing in donations to help the animals that are in need. We will be collecting items from November 16, to December 21, 2009.
