Chapter 9sm

Dear William,
WOW! I wanted to write and tell you all about life on the prairie and family here. There is a sweet boy named Caleb and his sister Anna.  Caleb asks me so many questions, about the wonderful sea! Anna tells me her first word and I tell her mine.
Anna’s father made a big sand dune. I loved it, but something was still missing.
They are a great family, and, I’m am looking forward into joining their family.
The big prairies remind me of the wonderful, blue, and green sea, because of its shape.
There are more big trees here. They are as big as the Statue of Liberty!
I hope you can visit!
Sincerly, Sarah

Dear William,

Life in Kansas is wonderful!  In Kansas I got to pet

sheep, ride horses, drive a wagon, and I have a family

that I can love.  Here in Kansas we have our own dunes

sort of a dune like Maine.  I planted flowers and I have

a garden.  I trimmed Caleb’s hair and let the hair loose

to form the birds nests.  Lottie and Nick are very friendly

dogs, they seem to like me a lot.  They lay on me all the

time.  Jacob is nice too, he taught me lots of things.

Everyone in the family is nice!  I love this family, but

I really miss you!

Love,

Sarah

“Boom, Crack, Pop!” The storm is getting stronger and stronger. It was a late December night… my mom, my brothers, and my cousins were all at my house.  The thunder storm crackled and snapped.  I felt very scared and worried like whats going to happen.  But as the hours passed they got silent and eventually stopped. Nobody was hurt, nobody got lost  inthe dark.  Everyone was alright.  “Thank goodness!” “I hope I will never be in another storm like that again.  “Boom” “Ohh great, here we go again.”

I remember when I missed someone. I missed my dad.  When I was in Egypt, I had to leave my dad for the whole summer! It was a long time.

I remember a storm  on Monday. The power went out. I don’t know what kind of storm it was, but it was loud, and big. I heard the wind going everywhere, and some trees falling down, rain hitting the buildings.  I felt kind of happy the power was out,  and a little unhappy, too!  Plip! Plop! Crash! Boom!!

Chapter 7 RR

Friday, May 16th, 2008

“Sniff, sniff ” “Have you ever missed someone or something?” I miss my bunny Honey, I only had her for two weeks, until she died.  Honey died by giving birth but none of the babies made it out, it was too late.  My heart broke into bite size  pieces, when that happened.  I burst into tears.  Life has its ups and downs, and that’s  why my dad told me that life is life no matter what happens.

Chapter 3&4 RR

My first word was Jupiter. I said Jupiter because, I was watching the history channel and the guy on the history channel was talking about the planet Jupiter, so he kept on saying Jupiter and then, I did.

I would want to learn how to knit sweaters, because, if I was cold or my family members were cold I would knit them a nice cozy sweater so then they would have a nice hand made sweater to keep them warm!

I know how to be nice. First, when someone says hello to you, you say hello back. Then, if someone is leaving say, ”good bye” or when they are moving, then say have a good trip.

Also, say thank you, please, and may I. Hold the door for people. Being nice is not that hard. Just, use manners and be friendly to others, don’t be like bullies. ” Be nice!”

Chapter 5 and 6 SM

My first word was  fool.

I would like to learn how to ride a horse.  It would be fun!! The wind would be going in your face and it would feel good!

One thing I can teach somebody is how to make paper people!

Step 1: Fold a piece of paper 4 times.

Step 2: Draw a person. Its hands, legs, and head must be touching the sides of the paper.

Step 3: Cut it out, but don’t cut the left arm!

Now open it up, and you got paper people!!

If you have never been to the sea before, here’s what it’s like.
What you see at the sea are people chattering. You can look at the blue, green waters of the sea, and boats that float on it. You can see the sand , shells, boardwalks, seagulls, on top of it.
At the sea, you can feel happy, excited, and ready to jump in the water. You could feel sunscreen, water, sand, food, and shells.
You could always smell the sunscreen you put on, food, and the salty air, it smells good!
You could taste food, sand, if you mistakenly eat it, sea water, if you are swimming.
Lastly you could hear people talking, you could hear seagulls screaming, the wind, and, the waves crashing on the shore.
This is what it’s like at the sea!   Team 17sm

Chapter 3&4 RR

“WHOOSH, “CRASH  “SHHH Do you hear that”?  Well that was waves crashing back into the salty lagoon.  There, up near the umbrella was the life guard on patrol, expecting action from the swimmers and the surfers.  Once you look up in the clear blue sky, you will see seagulls soaring up in the air, one way then the other.  I crouched down and felt the warm soft sand, but then “OUCH” a crab pinched me, you can really feel that.  I  got up and I can smell the mouthwatering hotdogs all prepared and ready to be eaten.  The beach is where I would want to go.

  • If I were advertising for a mom,I would want her to be fun! I would also want her to be energetic, nice, and a good cook.
  • My mom has these qualities I’m looking for. She is a good cook, she’s nice, and energetic.
  • I would’nt want a mom who is mean,  or a bad cook.
  • My mom doesn’t have these qualities. My mom is very kind.
