Theme Connections

Hola! This is Caitlyn!
Some connections I made to the theme are:
1. Don’t judge a book by its cover
2. Never give up
3. Goodness overcomes evil

The BFG and Sophie never gave up fighting the giants like the boy and his grandmother never gave up fighting the witches. The Roald Dahl books the protagonist always beated the antagonist.

It taght me to never give up and keep trying your hardest. Also, that it’s not nice to judge people by how they appear.

Never give up

Roald Dahl had a theme in the book that he made and it was to never give up. The part where it was, was when the mouse (boy) (never found out his name) never gave up trying to get rid of the withces and you know one thing it worked they never gave up trying and they got rid of the witches. :)

Good overcomes evil

Hello! Here are the stick out similarities between “The BFG” and “The Witches”. Both of the books are partly in England. One of the protagonists are always a girl. Something always happens to the protagonist’s parents. All of the antagonists are very ugly, except for (“GHW”). I infer that the theme is good overcomes evil. The theme is similar to “The BFG” because The BFG overcomes the other horrid giants.
